Highgate & Islington bathroom project
Large-format grey tiles, slim black-framed glazing and coordinated matt-black fittings give this compact shower room a calm, precise finish.
The design
A compact room, carefully resolved
The brief was to replace a dated bath and make better use of a small footprint. A walk-in shower, wall-mounted vanity and mirrored storage create a more practical room without adding visual clutter.
Large grey tiles keep the surfaces calm while the black shower frame, tap, flush plate and accessories give the room a consistent architectural line. Lighting around the mirror adds a softer layer for everyday use.

Before and during
From the original room to a prepared shell
The original bath, tiling and sanitaryware were removed before the room was rebuilt around the new shower layout. These photographs show the genuine starting point and preparation work.

What the work included
One coordinated renovation, from strip-out to final detail
The room was carefully sequenced around the selected materials and the agreed two-week programme.
Strip-out and first fix
The existing bathroom was removed, services were adjusted and the walls and floor were prepared for the new shower layout.
Waterproofing and tiling
Wet areas were tanked before the large-format grey tiles were measured, set out and installed.
Installation and finish
The shower enclosure, vanity, lighting and black fittings were installed before final sealing, checks and handover.
Finished details
Clean lines, useful storage and a consistent palette
Every finished photograph below is from this North London project.
